If any of you were wondering,yes that is my natural hair pinned up. I spritz it with water and sealed it with sweet almond oil and was ready to workout.
Now on to more important things,the workout. This is a basic ab workout that focuses on working out all the muscles of the abdominal at one time. I put in a back exercise at the end,because you have to workout the opposing muscles for balance and strength.
Doing ab exercises alone will not get you a flat stomach unless your diet is on point! That means not eating much sugar like breads and wheats, and focusing on eating meals that are water based. Meats, fruits and veggies will do the trick along with some grains. My custom meal plans will always get you on the right track to get a flatter stomach.
Now on to the exercises:
You are going to do 3 sets of these,back to back without any rest. However, if you can not do that right now, you can take breaks, but please, no more that a sixty-second rest. We need those muscles in constant contraction.
Double crunch 3 sets 10
Toe 2 knee (please don’t ask why I named it that, because I really don’t know) 3 sets 10
Leg and arm press 3 sets 15
Superman 3 sets 10
You do not need to warm up before doing ab exercises. You want to make sure you have enough energy to get through the whole workout. Some people do abdominal at the end of a workout, but I prefer to do them at the beginning. Sometime I do them first thing in the morning before doing my chores. However, it is up to you and your preference.Just experiment and find what works best for you.
Now I know when I said you can work abdominal out daily, some people will look in shock and think I have lost my mind. They say “But you are never supposed to work any muscles out daily!” Of course I roll my eyes.
No one has ever gotten injured working their abs out everyday, unless they were doing something reckless with their form. Some top athletes and fitness models will tell you their secrets to great abs are to work them out daily, so please don’t believe the hype. I recommend trying it for yourself and seeing if it works for you. If you don’t feel right, then do less.
An important note to keep in mind,when it comes to working abs daily, you must switch it up. So try to do something different so that you are activating different muscles in your abs.
When doing ab exercise, make sure to breathe through your stomach.
Also, relax. The results when come but you must be the patient. Make sure you are doing a cardio workout throughout the week to burn the fat. Feel the burn…bye!
